These protocols have been updated to reflect changes for the 2022-2023 school year.
COVID Mitigation Protocols
Masks are optional in all buildings, including for visitors and after-school activities
Classrooms and lunchrooms will be back to pre-pandemic distances (New for 2022-23)
New for 2022-23
- The federal government's meal program will not continue this year, which means families will have to pay for school lunch and breakfast
- Families should use MyMealTime to add funds to pay for meals
- Families can apply for free or reduced-price meals if they meet certain requirements
- Medically fragile students will be supported on a case-by-case basis
- COVID positive students can access their online portal (Seesaw & Schoology) to receive assignments or parents may request to receive assignments directly from their classroom teacher if they are not available on the portal.
Social-emotional classroom support structures will remain in place (Morning Meetings and Advisory)
- Bus capacity will remain the same
- Masks will be optional on buses (including when traveling for athletic competition)
- No exclusions for close contacts
- Positive cases will be tracked internally and monitored for potential spread or outbreak
- COVID-19 case dashboard will discontinue (New for 2022-23)
- Parents/guardians will receive notification that is in alignment to our communicable disease notifications. No student or staff identifiable information will be shared
- Teachers will be notified of positive cases in classrooms when applicable
- Individuals who test positive for COVID-19 will quarantine for 5 days and upon return are strongly recommended to mask days for days 6-10
- Close contacts will not be quarantined
- Students with COVID-like symptoms will quarantine for 5 days
- Students or staff with symptoms may return early with a negative PCR, rapid or home test result AND when no longer experiencing symptoms (New for 2022-23, home tests were not accepted for a return last year)
Students and staff will no longer be tested at school (New for 2022-23)
- Our schools will continue their daily disinfecting procedures
- Students should continue to regularly wash or sanitize their hands
- After-school clubs and sports are occurring as normal this year
- Masks are optional on buses traveling to and from competition
- Masks are optional during extracurricular activities
- When teams compete in other school districts, we will follow their mitigation plan
What to do if...
Fever of 100.4 degrees or higher, new onset of moderate to severe headache, shortness of breath, new cough, sore throat, vomiting, diarrhea, new loss of sense of taste or smell, fatigue from an unknown cause, muscle or body aches from an unknown cause.
