The River Trails School District 26 Board of Education held a meeting on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at River Trails Middle School. A full recording of the meeting is available for viewing on our YouTube page.
Here are the highlights:
- The board voted on and approved the consent agenda, which included Board of Education meeting minutes, personnel report, actual payroll, bills and checks,travel report, Electronic Equipment Recycling/Disposal, RTMS Furniture, and Policy Packet 114
- Board communications discussed recent events, including the conclusion of summer school and summer programs
- RTEA Comments were given by Mr. Bob Kastner
- Business Services discussed a construction update on the progress at Euclid and Indian Grove, and voted on posting the tentative budget, which was approved by the board
- Mr. Rognstad gave the NSSEO update, which discussed updates the conclusion of Summer School, on strategic planning and board reorganization
- The Public Relations report, given by Mr.Grimpe, detailed the next year’s plan for community communications
- The President’s report talked about upcoming events, including staff return dates and upcoming board and committee meetings
- Superintendent’s report gave an update on the progress of the substitute wage increase, the continuation of which was voted on and approved by the board, and a staffing plan update
- There were no board communications via email, and 1 FOIA request
- Future topics discussed board self evaluation, and the upcoming Triple-I conference
