The River Trails School District 26 Board of Education held a meeting on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at River Trails Middle School. A full recording of the meeting is available for viewing on our YouTube page.
Here are the highlights:
- The meeting began with the Public Hearing to take public comment on the Board’s proposed FY25 Budget.
- The board voted on and approved the consent agenda, which included Board of Education meeting minutes, personnel report, actual payroll, bills and checks, travel report, declassification of closed session minutes, destruction of verbatim tapes, EIS Administrator & Teacher Salary/Benefits Report, and press packets
- RTEA Comments were given by Mr. Bob Kastner
- Board Communication discussed the busy start to school, the IG back to school bash, open house at RTMS, ribbon cutting and curriculum night at Euclid and first grade meeting at Euclid
- District Recognition showed appreciation for the District Human Resources Department, Payroll Specialist, and Transportation Coordinator
- Business Services discussed a student enrollment update, and the board voted and approve the FY 25 budget and Employee Stipend for Wellness Incentive
- Mr. Rognstad gave the NSSEO update, which discussed strategic planning and working with member districts
- The Operations Committee report, also given by Mr.Rongstad, included recommendations on Indian Grove Bids, mechanical and construction manager, which were voted on and approved.
- The President’s report talked about upcoming events, including Prairie Trails Curriculum Night, Euclid Ice Cream Social, Indian Grove Recess with Relatives,Prairie Trails PTC Night Out, RTMS Rec Night, and Euclid Donuts with Grownups
- Superintendent’s report gave an update on Euclid solar panels, the future of RTMS, and a start of school update
- Future topics discussed board self evaluations and triple I conference
